The Hennepin County Multicultural Arts Committee is sponsoring “Free Arts Minnesota” this year for its annual gallery exhibit. The final photographs are on display in an installation organized by Forecast now through Friday, January 23 at the Hennepin Gallery of the Hennepin County Government Center. There will be a brown bag event on January 22, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Government Center Auditorium on the A Level, regarding the project and the exhibit. Wing Young Huie will be the key speaker. Wing Young Huie was voted Artist of the Year by the Star Tribune in 2000 and has been an independent photographer in the Twin Cities since 1979. Through Freelance photo journalism, commercial photography, and writing, Huie focuses on the truths of socioeconomic societies throughout America. Come and listen to him talk about his experiences with the “Through My Lens” program on January 22.
