Rock the Cradle with the Current 89.3 and Free Arts Minnesota
This event is a free day of family fun presented by The Current. Now in it's 5th year, the event has grown from 2,500 attendees it's first year to just under 13,000 last year. Families and social groups from all over the Twin Cities come together to enjoy music, art, books and their community.
Visit Free Arts Minnesota at our booth in the 3rd Floor Atrium. We will be spreading the word about our work and don't miss a hands-on art experience!

For her second straight year, Free Arts Minnesota supporter Heather Cole hosted artwork created by children in our programs during the Saint Paul Art Crawl! Community members were able to visit the 6th Floor of the Rossmor Building in St. Paul to view Free Arts Minnesota artwork. This year, some of the featured artwork was from a collection inspired by the Minnesota Twins, called "The Art of the Game." Free Arts Minnesota would like to thank Heather Cole for another opportunity to allow the at-risk youth in our community to communicate through their artwork.

Yelp invited friends and fans of Free Arts Minnesota to join them for the Yelp social event of the year! Not only were guests able to enjoy an evening of complimentary snacks and drinks at The Soap Factory, but they also had the opportunity to give back to Free Arts Minnesota and support the at-risk children in our community. For every donation made at the event, guests received postcards by local Artist Adam Turman.

The Soo Visual Arts Center held one of the coolest rummage sales of the year, the weekend of September 25th! Many supporters generously donated a variety of fun, unique and one-of-a-kind treasures.
SooVAC was filled with clothes, art, books, electronics, kitchenware, furniture, non-traditional art materials and of course weird conversation pieces that everyone can appreciate. AND - it was a great chance to feel good about your purchase, since 10% of the proceeds went to Free Arts Minnesota, with the remaining proceeds supporting Soo Visual Arts Center programming.
