Minneapolis, July 7, 2011 – Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Josh Groban, in partnership with his Find Your Light Foundation and Americans For the Arts, helped raise funds for the local non-profit organization Free Arts Minnesota while in town to perform at Target Center, Friday July 8, 2011. This is the first time Groban has partnered with a local organization while on his worldwide tour.

Three Twin Cities Theatre artists took the kids under their wings, and worked on different elements of the performance. Every child was able to experience the different aspects of putting on a play, such as: tech theatre (set building, painting), play development (playwriting and rehearsal), and acting (games, exercises, improv). At the end of the process, the three groups came together to deliver a final performance.
Art Relief for Those Affected by the Tornadoes Saturday, May 28th

There will be a bunch of community organizations going out there on Saturday to bring some entertainment and mental relief to the kids and their families affected by the tornado. Besides their basic shelter, food and clothing needs, they need to know they are supported by their community and that there are people who want to come and share that love through art, hugs, reading a book, dance-whatever.
Twice the Healing Campaign Kickoff Event Thursday, May 12th
The Twice the Healing Campaign will enable Free Arts Minnesota to reach 4,000 children and take 10 facilities off the waiting list. This commitment to serving twice as many children will take additional resources including funding, partnerships and volunteers.
