Staffers showing thier flare for blue and green day.April 1st, 2008 was declared "Free Arts Minnesota Day" by Minneapolis Mayor, R. T. Rybak. PROGRAM UPDATE

Free Arts Minnesota Children Give Back

Decorated Grocery BagFree Arts Minnesota is partnering with Open Arms,a local non-profit organization that delivers nutritious meals to people who have serious or life threatening illnesses.  They have asked Free Arts Minnesota youth to help make everyone’s day a little brighter by decorating the food delivery bags. This is a great opportunity for the Free Arts Minnesota children to know what it means to give back to their community and raise the spirits of those with serious illnesses.

Children have submitted many decorated bags over the past few weeks along with their comments. One child, Amy, suggested to her group that everyone use bright happy colors because dark colors can make you feel depressed. And Charlie really understood how his contribution was making a large impact. He hopes that "My artwork makes other people happy!"
