PROGRAM UPDATE

Free Arts Minnesota Youth Give Back

Decorated grocery bagIn December 2009 Free Arts Minnesota partnered with Open Arms for the second time. Youth participants decorated grocery bags that Open Arms then filled with food. Open Arms is the only nonprofit in MN that delivers free meals specifically tailored to meet the nutrition needs of individuals living with serious and life-threatening diseases.

Free Arts youth participants were happy to be involved with the project and were eager and happy to give back to people in their community.

January also marked the kick-off to the second session of the Weekly Mentorship Program. The second session of the program runs through May and we had an 80% volunteer retention between Session I & Session II.

Welcome new mentors and happy mentoring to all!
