Bring your family and friends to visit Free Arts Minnesota at the NE Minneapolis Art-A-Whirl open studio and gallery tour, this weekend! Free Arts Minnesota has been invited to display artwork and host an information table at the Historic Thorp Building.. You will also have the chance to participate in an interactive, community art project and speak with some of our wonderful volunteers! The tour will run from Friday, May 15th - Sunday, May 17th. We are asking you to sign our pledge to and pass it on to everyone that you care about and help us collect 1,000 signatures in the month of May. PROGRAM UPDATE

"The Art of the Game"

Volunteer and childDon’t miss your chance to bid on a special addition print, signed by the youth artists and a Twins player! This partnership between Free Arts Minnesota and The Minnesota Twins will conclude at the June 3rd Twins game at the Metrodome. The youth artists will display their artwork at the game and it will also be available by auction from June 3rd - June 8th. Youth ages 5 to 15 have been using techniques of Andy Warhol to incorporate art and baseball. The youth and volunteers, traveled to a batting practice to sketch the players on the field and then enjoyed the game.

Join us for a Celebration of Art & Mentorship!

A special reception to celebrate Art & Mentorship will take place on Thursday, June 4th, at the Minneapolis Woman’s Club. Volunteers and Supporters of Free Arts Minnesota will have an opportunity to view our newest collection, “The Art of the Game.” There will also be a volunteer recognition, to celebrate all of the wonderful work done by our volunteers over the years!
