Join us as we Celebrate 15 Young Artists
Free Arts Minnesota invites you and your family & friends to join us as we celebrate the latest project completed by Free Arts Minnesota youth. We will be holding a reception on August 26th, to recognize 15 adolescents from the Northside and Delta Place facilities. These teens, ranging from ages 13 -17, will be creating journals through the art of printmaking. Free Arts Minnesota is excited to announce that during this project we will be partnering with the Highpoint Center for Printmaking, in Minneapolis. Staff from Highpoint will be teaching the teens about different printmaking techniques, and assisting them as they create and print their journals. Click here for reception details. PROGRAM UPDATE
Art and Baseball!
Forty Youth Create Permanent Mural in St. Paul
Now as you walk into the stadium on Energy Park Drive you are met by colorful artwork, before you even reach the gates. This is just one of the latest art-initatives by the St. Paul Saints to beautify the stadium and engage the community. Forty children from Free Arts Minnesota programs worked on creating a sidewalk mural for two weeks throughout July. The young artists that created the mural, along with Free Arts Minnesota volunteers and professional artist, Jane Elias of Simply Jane, transformed a 50 ft walkway into an expression of art and community. If you were unable to make the the July 25th game, you will still have a chance to visit the sidewalk mural and give back to Free Arts Minnesota by purchasing a ticket package to the August 29th game, at 7:05 p.m.

Target Stores Makes Free Arts Day Possible!

Free Arts Minnesota would like to extend a special "thank you" to the Minneapolis Target Stores for sponsoring their first Free Arts Day, on July 10th! Target Store employees were each paired up with a child to spend the day creating art, making memories and having fun! Because of Target's support, more than 80 children from Mary's Place in Minneapolis were able to experience the healing power of art. To learn more about Free Arts Days and how your company can sponsor one, contact Andrea Satter, Development Director.
